Tilly's Tea Room

Tilly’s Tea Room – 9/7/13

Set in a quaint village high street, we entered the initial area, being a traditional old sweet shop, leading to the tea room at the rear.
We were greeted and offered a table inside or in the garden. As it was a lovely sunny day, we chose the pleasant garden, which was furnished with A frame tables.
The owner (doubling as a waiter today due to staff shortages), apologised in advance for a slower than usual service. He was undoubtedly harassed; however he was always pleasant, courteous and solicitous.
In next to no time, we were provided with a cream tea – more rustic than refined but none the less, most enjoyable. Our personal preference is for a traditional sultana scone as opposed to the addition of cherries on this occasion.
Had the weather been typically British, our experience of eating indoors would have been a little oppressive – only one small window covered by shrubbery was expected to illuminate a room with 4 tables.
A spacious utilitarian bathroom was located next to the seating area. It was clean but served as a storage area for cleaning equipment too. We have a preference for disposable paper towels rather than the cotton hand provided.
Tilly’s provided a reasonably priced and tasty treat.

Signs for business or home

I have recently come across a company who can make signs for business or home, in all different sizes, colours, fonts and using different materials.

I have been searching for a while and having found Signomatic, I'd love to share their extremely user-friendly website http://www.signomatic.co.uk/signs/name-badge-signs
